YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Perform mammalian cell culture process in an R&D environment, including small-scale cell culture manipulations in biosafety cabinet , laboratory and pilot-scale bioreactor operations and media/solutions preparations;
• Conduct experiments under supervision to for iPSC/ESC expansion and differentiation process development;
• Analyze samples using various laboratory instruments;
• Develop skills for experimental design, execution, and data analysis;
• Present results in a team setting.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor undergraduate program with a preferred focus in mammalian cell biology (including stem cell biology), biochemical engineering, etc;
• Good organization, documentation, prioritization, and scheduling skills together with an overall desire to learn;
• Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal directions in performing experiments and other development procedures;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet departmental goals;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficient in MS Office is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of working in a BSL 2 laboratory.
